Paradise on earth!

We spent five days with our four children in this villa that we got addicted to. Charming villa in an extraordinary garden situated in a village far from the tourist bustle, lovely staff with a special mention for sacred Ketut best cook of Bali and Putu the manager, always taking care. Nice pool and beautiful beach in a quarter of an hour walk from the house. This was our best experience of our trip to Bali. In reality even nicer than the pictures!

What an incredibly beautiful villa and really much nicer. We felt at home immediately and you see and feel the house has been built and furnished with a lot of love. We were here only three days but we enjoyed it!! Dear Ketut prepared breakfast. And lunch and dinner you could have it prepared by her in the villa. The food was absolutely delicious and the lovely place we did not need to go away. Pemuteran is a very small town with little to do. The villa is located a kilometer from the beach but Putu the manager was so nice to take the kids on the scooter and pick them up again. Go snorkeling certainly for a day. Truly a place to unwind. We’ve had a delightful 3 days at villa merah – a more peaceful and relaxing hojme is hard to imagine. What a beautiful spot you have made here – the gardens, terrace and pool gave us particular pleasure and diving at Manjangan Island yesterday prooved that this area is still as beautiful as it always has been. We spend 4 days in villa merah. It’s a very nice place to have some rest. It’s very close to the paradise. Putu and Ketut look after all our needs. We have spent 11 wonderful days in Villa Merah. What a lovely place, original architecture and decor, we felt right at home. Lovely swimming pool, usually a favorite in the early morning, the garden with the flowers, birds and butterflies. Dishes with fragrant frangipani flowers have been through the entire house. We explored the area with a scooter, we had fun with Ketut and taught her the bird dance (she got the giggles of). Putu was also a great host and has served us at our beck and call. The garden was perfectly kept and we had at least two geckos as pets (stayed behind the paintings). We snorkeled off the beach and went to Menjangan. Ketut has cooked several times for us and we went with her to the market at 06.30 to buy fish and vegetables. What a darling she is! Thank you for a beautiful holiday in a beautiful house! Villa merah is stunning and we have been looked after by Putu and the lovely ladies. We loved the amazing waves at Pemuteran beach, snorkelling of Menjangan Island and for the elder boys trekking up the mountain with Putu to see the sunrise. We really enjoyed our stay at villa merah. A large 9.5! The atmosphere, the environment and the care of the staff were great. Every day a fresh breakfast and lunch or dinner as we wished. The house was cleaned every day, the garden was well maintained. The pool was refreshing and clean. The house is fully equipped and easy to fit 6 people. Each room has a private bathroom. It is spacious and has a nice architecture, many Balinese elements in it. The location is good. The walk to the beach (800 meters) was nice because all the neighbors always greeted enthusiastically.

Pemuteran is an ideal place to relax. To enjoy nature, tranquility and Balinese cuisine. No touristy violence, but a lovely village where people are really nice and helpful. Ineke and Jeroen, The Netherlands, February 2016.

An oasis of calm with caring staff and many possibilities for excursions.

We spent 2 weeks at Villa Merah and we had a wonderful holiday. Together with friends we enjoyed the beautiful house with its beautiful tropical garden with pool. Optimal privacy. Very caring staff will do anything to succeed your holiday. Just want to rest: you can. Want to make trips: you can and everything will be arranged. Need advice: they know where to go, know all the hidden spots. They will have questions to all your answers. This is what they call, unburdening. We enjoyed it very much! A delightful haven

We stayed at Villa Merah for four weeks in May/June 2016 — it was the perfect place to recharge our batteries after five months travelling. The house is a delight: beautifully appointed, with many local features and a real sense of charm. Together with the gardens and the swimming pool it's an ideal haven — we didn't leave the grounds for the first three days. The staff are friendly, helpful and a pleasure to get to know; we learnt a lot about Balinese life and culture from them. Several good restaurants, the beach, temples & etc are all within easy walking distance, but the house is well away from the main road. All in all, very highly recommended.
